Community Based Pollution Prevention for Two Urban Cities—A Case Study

Pollution prevention is an approach for generating less waste using fewer toxic chemicals while conserving water and energy. Even though pollution practices have been encouraged over thirty years, many smaller businesses not considered or adopted such techniques. This study examines the effect of a community-based designed to emphasize benefits health economic well-being urban communities when source reduction are implemented by in community. Partnering with existing community groups Newark Jersey City, NJ, technical assistance was provided small medium-sized under grant funding from Region 2 US Environmental Protection Agency.
